Just read leroy's post and...

Haha, i get what he means when he says the promos (Exams) are taking its toll.

Here's what I spotted in his commentary :

1. "shrewd facade turned out to be one of arrogance and silence" - the word 'shrewd' carries by itself a negative and witty conatation. So, how it links to arrogance and silence, I do not know. *Though i think he was trying to replace the word 'clever'.

2. "pick yourself up and try, try again" - Ok, now how in the world do I do that? hmmm...let's see. First you place your right hand on your head....

3. "sea of delocalised words" - I sense a strong presence of Chemistry here. Sea of delocalised electrons maybe....hmmm

4. "I'm a loud thinker, and I think as I type" - If I were a loud thinker and I think as I typed, I would possibly be mad talking to myself in front of the computer. *Reads each letter as it is typed.

5. " safely vent my thoughts" - interesting concept on using a PUBLIC blog to vent your thoughts SAFELY. A mere juxtaposition I presume?

No offence meant of course ;)

Short and sweet...I hope

posted by c0mb0kick | LeRoy

Just dropping by to update on this supposedly "active" blog. Owing to the fact that there are suppose to be 3 people updating this cyberspace diary...lol. Looks like the promo is really taking its toll.

So I'm here once again to just plant in a piece of my mind, before it gets lost in the ever-hectic and tight schedule of mine.

I think I can finally safely say that I have settled down in JC, not only emotionally but mentally and physically as well. This may be due to the fact that I'm not as petty as I used to be and am finally able to be myself once again. Many would think I'm tactless, having took so long to settle down and just before promos. For me, this was a journey of tackling my insecurities and being able to be myself in spite of the many constrains faced everyday.

Come on lets face it, why try be someone else to escape reality and screw everything up rather than being yourself which you took your whole life to build? I mean, which one is more alien to you? Yourself or a shrewd facade you tried to manifest in those few days?!

So as it seems, my shrewd facade turned out to be one of arrogance and silence, which caused me a class and nearly the whole year in JC1. Still, we all make mistakes and the real challenge in life is to pick yourself up and try, try again. Many times it will be tough, and that's when friends come into the picture. And even if they cant always be there for you, you still have yourself. So my message is, LOVE yourself to bits first before loving others. At least you already have evidence that you can portray some form of love, so that others can see and appreciate and are more confident of the love you can provide for them.

And for those who are already lost in this sea of delocalised words, I'm a loud thinker, and I think as I type. So any and every thought that comes to my mind during these sessions just seem to make their way into the posts and are scrutinised unmercifully by your criticising eyes...LOL. Therefore, do spare me that frown and do something useful for a change, like leave some constructive criticism in the "comments box" on your immediate left. Unless you dont even know where left is, then just press that [X] on your immediate right and be done with it... Hold on, if you don't know where left is, how would you know where right is?!...LOL

P.S... mind my incoherent babbling, I'm just fully utilising the blog to safely vent my thoughts...LOL...the purpose and wonder of the blog.

Tech Review : Windows Live Writer

posted by Justin D. Pereira

windowsliveWriter

I just downloaded the Windows Live Suite, and inside it contains this nifty little app called Windows Live Writer. ( It's what I am using to blog right now! ). The program supports quite a number of the popular blog hosting servers and since I am using blogger, it was relatively easy to set up. I was up running within 10 minutes.

Anyway, the program allows you to facilitate the insertion of hyperlinks, pictures, tables, maps, tags and videos. Though I have little idea what Map and tags are ( and also not planning to use them just as yet ). In the freedom of editing, you can also change the HTML code if you are more comfortable in working in that format for your post.

Formatting includes the general options of bold, underline and itallicise though I would prefer if colour combinations and more HTML tags such as line inclusion (<hr>) tag could be included. This would truly make Windows Live Writer a fully functional multipurpose blog cum HTML editing software. Comparable to what I have seen around, this is certainly one of the best.

Posting from beyond this time

Work work work. Simply synonymous with JC life. But first things first, congratulations to Michel for joining the blog. I will update your status to "active" in a few days too. ( or when I find the time )

Well, life has been pretty much decent of late, with work going smoothly and each day has been a real joy. I don't know why but these days I find that I appreciate life more and more. My goals also have very positive of late, with the sight of scoring As for my promotional exams. I know I can do it! The funny thing is that while life so far is without its hiccups, I have been sleeping later and later. Just for the Written Report for my group's Project Work, I stayed up till 4am on Tuesday night to edit it and compile them together. Not to say that the team's work is not good, its just needs a little flow, and those who know my perfectionist nature ( which is both good and bad ), I tend to work myself to death (not literally I hope)

Just recently also got a new phone as my contract was going to expire. Now, all calls and messages will be made from the Samsung Ultra Edition 13.8 or Z720. Fairly decent for a phone though it can get quite hot at times. I have still not found a way to install games via USB or the equivalent instead of downloading it through WAP which is $$$. The camera with it is quite good at 3 megapixels though it exists without a flash system. Battery life is also average for a user like me (I don't do much with the phone except talking, messaging, the occasional music, video and snapshot) and it can last me for about two days. Charging is via USB cable or the direct power plug. Though I yearn for more features on this phone, it is still better then the previous one I had.  Now, all I have to do is drool at the ipod Touch ( drool...slurrrp ** )

Taken from Samsung 13.8

Well got to go, still have lots of homework to do and I have barely started ands its already 5pm! Omigosh. I will be posting more pictures with my phone, so look out for it!
