After the students council camp
posted by Justin D. Pereira
The camp was not too bad unlike what i expected. There are always new things to learn and i really had a great time knowing those in my group, and my unit captains. Still it was a leadership training camp and there is a week long one to come soon at the end of this month. Hopefully i am prepared for it!
In terms of badminton nowadays, hopefully I have improved on my smashes and accuracy. My strength has since improve two fold with new the new hand grip i learn from my friend. Hehe...but still I must work on my stamina and agility as those still are my achillees ( how do you spell it ? ) heel.
I have posted enough for now..and now i must get to sleep...long week has past me, and another long week ahead...hope to be able to blog soon! Cheers
stupid posting procedure hung on me just now...now got to retype everything again...
Anyway, this week is my Students' Council Elects' Camp ( saturday to sunday, 2 days 1 night only...but it will seem a long time ). Not too long but i have never experienced what is a junior college camp like, especially one of the leadership kind ( where resilience, endurance and pressure play a big role ). Deep down i just pray that not one elect will forget to bring anything on their pack list. I am so certain that they will do a bag check first thing in the morning. Hopefully, I can learn something new and fun from this camp and bring something back to Sembawang Secondary when i return to do my residential project for my NYAA Gold.
Sigh this month got another camp as well. AlphaBravo Camp for all tier 3 leaders in AJC, which consist of CCA presidents, vice presidents and all councillors. On the "plus" side, it was promised by our Council president that this camp is going to be on a much higher scale then the Elects' Camp. More intensive ( i dont like this word...has a negative connatation to it... ), more strenous, more physically, mentally and emotionally challenging. Furthermore, its a 5 day 4 night camp. Cannot say that I am raring to go for it.
To top it all off for this month, a whole slew of tests seems to be on my way. First thing next week monday after the Elects' camp on Sunday, will be my econs test, maths test, project work gpp presentation, a more homework to submit and do. My nerves are so nervous and i really need to calm down....can't say that anxiety will help much...Nowadays, my heart is just beating way too fast. Oh god help me!
and now I leave you with a poem of my feelings right now...
The yearn for more it, will never be given to you When you want it slow down, it will never because you are having fun When you want it to speed up to get it over and done with, it will tick with a pause as though mocking you for the sheer thought of it.
And then, for the day you never wished arrive, comes so quickly that you curse and swear of the little time you have for yourself. But then again, who are we to despair for it is impossible to fight the relativity of time.
