An interesting illuminating speech by Leroy (a.k.a Combokick). Well one thing for sure which I liked the best from his essay is
"finally met a group of students that are really worth having a conversation with in my JC"
It's interesting how its phrased isnt it. Hmmm what is he trying to imply? The sophisticated power of words.
Well, I said I'd get back in my last post, well here I am. Couldn't help it as I was chatting away about the Sembawang Council with Jian Wen ( council advisor ) and its interesting to know more about his character when he plans to carry out stuff. Well, its important for all of us as a learning point that whenever we are feeling down in life, we must pick ourselves up and not stay stagnant in one spot forever. Most importantly, that setback should not always constantly remind of failure but rather one of that of experience and encouragement through experience.
Since Leroy posted his expectations of himself, let me list mine down as well.

- Get into council executive ( position doesnt matter as long as my best is given )
- Obtain an A for General Paper, Chemistry, Mathematics
- Obtain a B for Economics, Literature
- Obtain a D or C for Chinese Language
- Finish the planning of the council investiture asap and of course execute it well.
- Project Work to be done with my best effort in all aspects
- Tutorials - well I have started changing my perspective to tutorials and each time the lecture is finished, my hand seems to start writing away for the homework answers. That's a very good sign. Hope to keep it up.
- Most importantly, find some time for myself and get to know more friends!
I leave you all with a little something which I have read, learnt and followed.
