Recipe : Fragrant Kway Teow Stir-fry and my 102th post.

Ingredients :
  • 1 table spoon dark sweet sauce
  • 2 table spoon light sauce
  • 1 table spoon sesame oil
  • 1 egg
  • ground white pepper
  • handful bean sprouts, plucked ( approximately 20 grams )
  • Approximately 30 grams green cai sim leaves
  • 6 prawns, peeled and deveined, keep the heads
  • 150 grams white flat kway teow, fresh and soaked in water
  • 3 clove garlic, peeled and chopped

Method

  • Marinate prawns with 1 tablespoon light sauce and a dash of pepper.
  • Heat oil in pan and stir fry the prawn heads till fragant. Dispose prawn heads.
  • Stir fry garlic in pan. Add in kway teow and fry evenly with 1 tablespoon dark sweet sauce, 1 table spoon light sauce, sesame oil and pepper.
  • After about 2 minutes, push kway teow to one side of the pan and add in the prawns.
  • When the prawns are half cooked, mix the kway teow and the prawns thoroughly. Add in the vegetable leaves and bean sprouts.
  • Keep frying the kway teow mixture till the vegetables are cooked and the prawns are a nice pinkish red.
  • Place fried kway teow to side of pan and break an egg at the empty side. Quickly mix the egg and the kway teow together.
  • Stir fry for another 2 minutes.
  • Serves 2

I have already reached my 102th post. So its just great that it is a recipe! Anyway, I have been too busy this past week to do any blogging, but I had to find time to post this recipe up. I came up with it out of the blue in a moment of inspiration. Hopefully, you can use it and comment on it!
